We are looking for a skilled Metallurgical Engineer to join our team, where your expertise will play a crucial role in optimizing processes, selecting materials, and enhancing cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for sheet metal components, including material, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze designs, specifications, and materials to optimize cost efficiency.
- Leverage cost estimation tools and software to improve accuracy and workflow.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities in design and production.
Material Selection
- Choose suitable sheet metal materials considering durability, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Account for factors such as gauge thickness, finishes, and surface treatments to ensure product excellence.
Process Optimization
- Work with the production team to enhance fabrication processes and reduce operational costs.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations for all components.
- Perform material property testing and dimensional inspections.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sheet metal processes, such as cutting, bending, welding, and finishing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and cost estimation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: PKR 60,000 – 70,000 per month
