Python Developer – Web Scraping

Cutting Edge Projects, UK, is looking for an experienced Python Developer – Web Scraping to join our team in Lahore. As a Python Developer, you will be involved in back-end web development, object-oriented programming (OOP), and working on a variety of web scraping projects. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Python, web scraping tools, and database management. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, optimizing systems, and contributing to the development of innovative software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Back-End Development: Design and implement robust back-end solutions to support web scraping activities.
• Web Scraping: Develop and maintain web scraping scripts to extract data from multiple sources using tools like Scrapy, Selenium, and BeautifulSoup.
• Data Accuracy & Processing: Ensure high-quality and accurate data collection, while applying data cleaning and processing techniques.
• Database Management: Handle and optimize databases for scraped data, ensuring fast and efficient data retrieval.
• Collaboration: Work alongside front-end developers, project managers, and other teams to integrate scraped data and provide meaningful insights to clients and stakeholders.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Address and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth operation of web scraping processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Proven experience in back-end web development and working with Python, including web scraping techniques.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Python programming, object-oriented programming (OOP), and back-end web development principles.
  • Proficiency with web scraping frameworks and libraries like Scrapy and Selenium.
  • Familiarity with Django framework for back-end web development.
  • Experience with data extraction, data annotation, data modelling, and data processing techniques.
  • Understanding of databases and ability to integrate scraping solutions with databases.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Education:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data manipulation and API interaction.
• Knowledge of regular expressions and data formats (JSON, XML).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
