RepairDesk is looking for an Associate Product Designer to join our team and help shape the user experience across our product suite. As a Product Designer, you will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive product innovation. If you are passionate about solving real user problems and contributing to product strategy, this is the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify Opportunities for Product Improvement: Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify areas where the product can be enhanced.
- Strategic Contribution: Be an active participant in strategic product decisions, working with teams to contribute insights and suggestions.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with engineers and product managers to build MVPs (Minimum Viable Products), ensuring the product stays aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Design Iteration: Use feedback (both quantitative and qualitative) to iterate and refine designs continuously to match customer needs and expectations.
- Work Presentation: Share your designs in design reviews, seeking input from leadership and peers to enhance your work.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant design experience (portfolio required).
- Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of design systems, user-centered design principles, and modern design tools (e.g., Figma, JIRA, Notion).
- Working in Fast-Paced Environments: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing user-centric goals with business objectives.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A creative problem-solver with the ability to influence decision-making through well-crafted designs.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to write Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) when needed.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to take the lead on design projects and collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and managers.
