Amigos MD Solutions is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for managing various credentialing activities, including fee schedule analysis, assisting with EDI enrollment, performing insurance follow-ups, and reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic team, assisting healthcare professionals with essential processes to ensure smooth credentialing and billing.
Key Responsibilities
As a Credentialing Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Credentialing Tasks:
- Handle all aspects of credentialing and medical staff credentialing to ensure healthcare professionals meet the necessary standards for insurance purposes.
- Perform fee schedule analysis and EDI enrollment assistance to streamline healthcare billing processes.
- Follow up with insurance companies on outstanding claims and report on credentialing status and progress.
- Insurance Verification and Follow-Up:
- Conduct insurance verifications and ensure all necessary documents are up-to-date for successful enrollments.
- Track credentialing status and engage with insurance carriers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of credentialing status, insurance enrollment details, and fee schedule adjustments.
- Provide periodic reports related to credentialing, enrollment, and fee schedules as required by the management team.
- Client Interaction & Customer Support:
- Offer customer service and support to healthcare providers, helping them understand the credentialing process and answer any questions regarding insurance enrollment or contracting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Experience in credentialing and medical staff credentialing processes within the healthcare industry.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience with Medicare processes, insurance follow-up, and contracting.
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding practices is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with healthcare billing software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Certification in Medical Billing or a related field is a plus but not required.
