Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Lead Generation: Identify, prospect, and generate leads through cold calling, networking, and social media platforms.
  2. Sales Outreach: Conduct outreach via calls, emails, and meetings to introduce our truck dispatch services and convert prospects into clients.
  3. Client Needs Analysis: Understand client-specific trucking and dispatching needs to offer tailored solutions.
  4. Client Presentations & Proposals: Deliver engaging presentations and service proposals to highlight the value of our offerings.
  5. Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms effectively to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  6. Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  7. Market Research: Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and customer demands to refine sales tactics and uncover new opportunities.
  8. Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the operations and support teams for seamless client onboarding and smooth service delivery.
  9. CRM Management: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, pipelines, and sales activities in the CRM system.
  10. Reporting: Prepare and share sales reports, performance metrics, forecasts, and industry feedback with management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
    • Experience in logistics, transportation, or truck dispatching is highly preferred.
    • Strong track record in cold calling, B2B sales, or client acquisition.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with truck dispatching operations, freight logistics, and transportation regulations is a strong plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and engage clients effectively.
  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing while achieving favorable outcomes.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in using CRM software, email tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and dispatching tools (preferred).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot challenges, identify solutions, and communicate effectively with internal teams.
  • Self-Motivated and Goal-Oriented: Results-driven with the ability to exceed KPIs and meet deadlines independently.
  • Customer-Centric: Committed to providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive client relationships.
