A leading bank in Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan is looking for an experienced Information Technology Auditor to join their team. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to ensure the bank’s IT infrastructure, systems, and processes align with the best auditing practices, identify potential risks, and suggest improvements. As an IT Auditor, you will contribute significantly to enhancing the security and effectiveness of the bank’s IT operations.

Responsibilities

As an Information Technology Auditor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Executing IT Audits: Overseeing and conducting audits on IT systems and processes to ensure compliance with internal controls, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Assessing IT Controls: Evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of IT controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and assessing system risks.
  • Identifying Risks and Issues: Analyzing complex IT environments, identifying potential risks, security gaps, or inefficiencies, and recommending improvements.
  • Preparing Audit Reports: Documenting audit findings, preparing comprehensive reports, and presenting recommendations for improvements to management.
  • Collaboration: Working with internal teams, IT departments, and stakeholders to ensure that the organization’s IT operations meet compliance standards and business objectives.
  • Following Industry Best Practices: Staying current with developments in IT auditing, cybersecurity, and related regulations to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Information Technology Auditor role, candidates should have:

  • Strong knowledge of IT auditing principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Experience with various IT governance frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, COBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL).
  • Ability to assess and analyze complex IT systems, software, and processes to ensure they meet security and efficiency standards.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills to document and explain findings clearly.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams to meet deadlines and provide effective recommendations.
