As an Ophthalmologist at Vital Care Hospital, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of eye conditions and diseases. The position is contract-based and will involve working on-site with our medical team to provide excellent patient care in our hospital setting. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled, with significant experience in eye surgery, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consultations with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye conditions, diseases, and visual impairments.
- Perform eye surgeries, including cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and corrective procedures.
- Provide regular eye examinations and check-ups for patients.
- Prescribe treatments or refer patients to other specialists if necessary.
- Maintain patient records and provide detailed reports after examinations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology treatments and technologies.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Advise patients on proper eye care practices and offer guidance regarding eye health prevention.
- Communicate treatment plans and answer questions from patients and their families.
- Participate in educational and research activities relevant to ophthalmology (if applicable).
Requirements:
- Medical Degree: MBBS with a specialization or higher qualifications in Ophthalmology.
- Licensing and Registration: Must be registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- Experience: Previous experience in ophthalmology, particularly in performing eye surgeries, is required.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries for eye-related conditions.
- Strong patient management and consultation skills.
- Proficient in modern ophthalmological techniques and equipment.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with excellent communication skills.
- Language: Proficiency in Urdu and English is required for patient communication and consultation.
