As a Cyber Security Analyst at micro1, you will play a critical role in safeguarding systems from cyber threats. You will help secure the networks, systems, and AI models used by our partners while providing expert analysis and response to security incidents. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor & Analyze Security Events: Continuously monitor systems and networks for security events, identifying potential threats or vulnerabilities.
- Conduct AI Security Tests: Test AI systems and interpret AI-generated responses, exploring the limits of AI and identifying security anomalies.
- Assess and Implement Security Measures: Apply effective security protocols, including vulnerability management and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with IT Teams: Work closely with other IT professionals to reinforce the organization’s overall security posture.
- Perform Security Audits & Risk Assessments: Regularly conduct audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Security Incident Response: Provide timely reactions to cyber breaches or security incidents to mitigate impact and secure systems.
- Develop & Communicate Security Policies: Create and maintain clear security guidelines and policies, ensuring all team members understand security requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Threat Detection: Strong skills in identifying and responding to network security threats.
- Cybersecurity Experience: Previous experience in cybersecurity, penetration testing, and social engineering assessments.
- Network Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of securing network infrastructures.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to articulate security issues and solutions.
- Remote Work Independence: Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting and manage your tasks independently.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on identifying and solving complex security problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AI/Language Model Knowledge: Understanding of AI and large language models (advantageous).
- Relevant Certifications: Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker).
- Previous Industry Experience: Experience in a similar cybersecurity role within the tech or Silicon Valley sector.
