The role requires proactive engagement with clients and a deep understanding of the IT and web development market.
Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, your core responsibilities will include:
- Client Acquisition: Leverage freelancing platforms (e.g., Upwork, Fiverr, Guru, LinkedIn) to acquire new projects and clients.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance the company’s brand visibility and generate business leads.
- Proposal Creation: Craft compelling project proposals and presentations tailored to prospective clients.
- Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with international clients, particularly in the US, UK, and EMEA regions, ensuring their needs are met.
- Market Research: Utilize lead generation tools and techniques specific to web development, identifying trends and business opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align client needs with the company’s service offerings.
- Freelancing & Bidding: Oversee the management and bidding of projects on freelancing platforms, aiming to win contracts and drive revenue.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in winning projects on freelancing platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, or Freelancer.
- Web Development Knowledge: Familiarity with WordPress, WooCommerce, SEO, digital marketing tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and content writing.
- Language Skills: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills—full dependency on AI-based writing tools like ChatGPT is strongly discouraged.
- Experience with International Clients: Must have experience managing international profiles, particularly with clients from the US, UK, and EMEA.
- Freelancer Platforms: Demonstrated experience managing and bidding on freelancing platforms with a solid track record of success.
- Core Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, leadership capabilities, organizational skills, and the ability to handle pressure.
