Key Responsibilities

As an ESL Teacher at micro1, you will:

  • Develop Engaging Lesson Plans: Create detailed lesson plans tailored to the varied English proficiency levels of your students, ensuring lessons are interesting, educational, and relevant.
  • Teach Interactive Classes: Conduct engaging online lessons that focus on improving students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess students’ language proficiency and provide actionable feedback that supports their academic growth.
  • Cultivate a Supportive Virtual Classroom: Build a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and ensures that students feel comfortable participating.
  • Utilize Diverse Teaching Methods: Employ various teaching methodologies and digital resources to cater to different learning styles and needs.
  • Promote Cultural Understanding: Encourage cultural exchange and understanding, fostering a globally minded classroom atmosphere.
  • Stay Current with ESL Trends: Keep up-to-date with new teaching methods and integrate these into your lessons to continuously improve the quality of instruction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the ESL Teacher role will possess the following:

  • Experience in Language Instruction: Demonstrated experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: An understanding of cultural differences and the ability to teach students from various cultural backgrounds.
  • Relevant Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
