AHSANNAZIR, a leading luxury fashion house based in Lahore, seeks a highly skilled and creative Fashion Designer to join our design team. At AHSANNAZIR, we specialize in couture and ready-to-wear collections that blend timeless elegance with contemporary trends. As a fashion designer, you will play a key role in developing beautiful, innovative garments that celebrate individuality through a unique mix of fabrics and designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Trend Analysis:
Stay updated on the latest fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and patterns. Regularly conduct trend analyses to influence upcoming collections and inspire the design process. - Design Development:
Create initial sketches and assist in developing comprehensive design concepts. Work closely with the design team to bring your creative ideas to life. - Technical Design:
Use design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create technical drawings and assist in translating designs to final patterns with pattern makers. - Fabric & Material Selection:
Contribute to the selection of fabrics and materials for collections and manage relationships with fabric suppliers to ensure the highest quality and suitability for designs. - Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with pattern makers, sample makers, and the marketing team to develop cohesive designs and ensure timely project delivery. - Prototyping & Sampling:
Play a key role in creating prototypes and making necessary adjustments during fittings to ensure designs meet high standards of craftsmanship and innovation. - Documentation:
Maintain well-organized design records, files, and technical specifications. Assist in preparing design presentations to be showcased to clients and stakeholders. - Market Analysis:
Continuously analyze market trends and competitor collections to inform your design choices, ensuring relevance and competitive edge in the market. - Adaptation:
Modify and refine designs based on feedback from senior designers, clients, and management, ensuring that the final product aligns with the brand vision. - Learning & Development:
Actively participate in design workshops, stay updated with new design tools and techniques, and seek professional development to sharpen design skills.
Ideal Candidate
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. - Experience:
Proven experience in garment design and technical production processes, especially within luxury or ready-to-wear fashion. - Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of garment production processes.
- Proficient in design software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Other:
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership of design projects.
