The Odoo Developer will be responsible for the development and management of custom Odoo apps, plugins, and functionalities. Key Responsibilities
As an Odoo Developer at Rolustech, you will:
- Client Interaction: Analyze and estimate client requirements. Participate in client meetings to gather specific needs and expectations.
- Odoo Development: Design, develop, and customize Odoo applications, plugins, and modules based on client requirements.
- Odoo Customization: Create enhancements and customizations within the Odoo system, including developing additional modules and integrating third-party services like payment gateways, shipping providers, and accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Xero).
- Deployment & Management: Oversee project delivery from planning through deployment. Manage and monitor the development and deployment of Odoo apps across Odoo SH and on-premise environments.
- Leadership: Lead and manage a team of developers across multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
- Ongoing Support: Perform software debugging, testing, and provide post-deployment support.
- Data Migration: Migrate data from third-party software to Odoo, ensuring data integrity and compatibility.
- Performance Optimization: Understand performance bottlenecks of Odoo and ensure optimized code for smooth system performance.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create detailed technical documentation to ensure transparency and efficient project management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: BS in Computer Science or related degree (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Odoo development and customization.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, MVC architecture, JavaScript, jQuery, and PostgreSQL.
- Extensive experience developing Odoo plugins, with a deep understanding of Odoo architecture and data flow.
- Expertise in customizing core Odoo functionalities and ensuring compatibility with future upgrades.
- Experience with third-party API integrations, such as Payment Gateways and Shipping Providers.
- Experience with data migration between different versions of Odoo or from other systems.
- Solid knowledge of Linux environments.
- Familiarity with GIT concepts and version control operations.
- Odoo certification is a plus.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
