Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Ruby on Rails Developer, you will:

1. Back-End Development:
   • Work extensively with Ruby on Rails to develop dynamic web applications.
   • Ensure the efficient design and execution of server-side logic, database management, and API integration.
2. Front-End Development:
   • Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate back-end services and create smooth, responsive UI/UX experiences using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
3. OOP and MVC Frameworks:
   • Apply principles of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to structure applications.
   • Leverage Model-View-Controller (MVC) design patterns in developing scalable and maintainable applications.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance:
   • Implement test-driven development (TDD) to ensure high-quality, bug-free code.
   • Conduct testing and troubleshooting on software components to guarantee stable and efficient operations.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work with team members to ensure that development efforts align with project requirements, timelines, and business goals.
   • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team meetings.
6. Maintain and Optimize Codebase:
   • Regularly update and maintain code with best practices for performance optimization.
   • Refactor and improve code to ensure scalability and enhance functionality.
7. Continuous Learning and Growth:
   • Stay up to date with the latest Ruby on Rails updates and best practices.
   • Participate in team-led brainstorming and coding sessions for skills enhancement and solving challenges.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Educational Background:
   • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience:
   • 6 months to 1 year of professional experience with Ruby on Rails and React.js.
   • Familiarity with modern web application development principles and best practices.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
   • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
   • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
   • Strong understanding of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
4. Additional Skills:
   • Problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail in development tasks.
   • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
