Key Responsibilities

As a Fashion Designer at Orange Fashion, your key responsibilities will include:

Design Creation:
- Develop original, creative, and stylish fashion designs based on current trends and market demands.
- Design new collections that align with the company’s brand identity and target audience.
Fabric and Material Selection:
- Choose appropriate fabrics and materials for your designs based on texture, weight, and overall aesthetic.
- Work closely with fabric suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Pattern Making and Garment Construction:
- Create accurate patterns and prototypes for garments, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
- Collaborate with seamstresses and garment technologists to bring designs to life.
Trend Analysis and Forecasting:
- Stay up-to-date with global fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor designs.
- Conduct market research to ensure your designs meet the needs and expectations of the target market.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with other members of the design team, including other designers, marketing teams, and manufacturers.
- Present and communicate design concepts to stakeholders and clients.
Quality Control:
- Oversee the production process to ensure that garments meet the company’s high-quality standards.
- Address any design-related issues during production, ensuring timely resolutions.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 2-3 years of experience working as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio of your work.
- Proven experience in designing fashion collections for both men and women (depending on the brand focus).
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in fashion design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, and Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric types.
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Creative and innovative with a strong eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with fashion shows, collections, and garment styling.
Knowledge of sustainable fashion practices.
