Introduction
TalentHue is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a growing team in Lahore, Pakistan. This full-time, on-site role is an exciting opportunity for a professional to contribute to eCommerce site operations, particularly focusing on supporting CMS, Frontend, and Backend-For-Frontend (BFF) layers. Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer at TalentHue, your role will be central to maintaining and improving eCommerce systems. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:
- Site Operations and Monitoring
- Ensure the smooth operation of the eCommerce site, focusing on CMS, Frontend, and BFF layers.
- Act as a key support member for monitoring the site’s performance and uptime in the production environment.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work with both internal and external teams to ensure business requirements are clear and met.
- Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues promptly.
- Process Automation and Improvement
- Focus on automating processes and continuously improving workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage incident and change management processes to ensure seamless changes in the production environment.
- Security and Compliance
- Ensure security measures are in place, including OS security hardening, penetration testing, and compliance with industry standards such as SOX and PCI.
- Document and maintain detailed instructions for internal processes and production changes.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide leadership in ensuring that systems and databases related to eCommerce operations perform optimally.
- Research and make recommendations on new technologies that could improve site performance and overall business operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who meets the following criteria:
- Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in the retail domain is preferred but not essential.
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Solid experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybris, or Magento.
- Expertise in PHP, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Drupal CMS is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Linux, SQL, and scripting languages such as Shell, JavaScript, and Python.
- Experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux, SQL, scripting, and automation.
- Over 3 years of experience working with eCommerce platforms like Salesforce Commerce Cloud or Magento.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with teams and document processes.
