Easy2Employ, LLC is seeking a Payroll Accountant to ensure the accuracy and timely processing of payroll for our employees. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing payroll operations, calculating wages and deductions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The Payroll Accountant will also collaborate closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of payroll-related operations and contribute to overall financial planning and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring timeliness and precision.
- Calculate gross wages, deductions, and net pay in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Data Maintenance:
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies and handle employee inquiries regarding their compensation.
- Compliance and Tax Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax calculations, reporting, and withholding.
- Prepare and process payroll-related reports such as earnings statements and tax liability reports.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR to manage employee benefits and deductions accurately.
- Collaborate with the finance team during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Payroll System & Procedure Improvement:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll software systems and tools.
- Participate in developing payroll policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Year-End Process:
- Support year-end processes, including preparing W-2 forms and assisting with annual tax filings.
- Staff Mentorship:
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff to improve overall team efficiency.
- Analyze payroll budgets and assist with departmental planning.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in payroll processing or accounting, specifically related to payroll.
- Proven experience in handling tax calculations, reporting, and compliance.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Ultimate Software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools.
- Detailed understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with financial auditing and reporting.
