We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Associate Data Scientist to join our expanding team at TenX. This role requires a hands-on technical professional with expertise in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis. As an associate data scientist, you will be involved in managing and executing end-to-end client data science projects. Your work will involve collaborating closely with product management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to develop data models, algorithms, and analytic solutions to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Science & Machine Learning: Apply machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to develop analytic solutions that address client needs and challenges.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product management and engineering teams to understand business requirements and create appropriate data science solutions.
  • Communication: Present results and statistical concepts to key business leaders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Data Aggregation: Create Aggregate Data Sets (ADS) and define key data points (features) for model development.
  • Model Development: Develop custom data models and algorithms that can handle large datasets and optimize decision-making.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Build processes and tools to monitor the performance and accuracy of models, ensuring they are integrated smoothly into production.
  • Data Cleaning & Validation: Perform data wrangling and validation, ensuring data is clean, accurate, and uniform across platforms.
  • Error Analysis & Performance Improvement: Analyze big data stores, identify trends, and perform error analysis to enhance model accuracy.
  • A/B Testing: Contribute to developing A/B testing frameworks for continuous model evaluation and quality improvement.
  • Collaboration in Development: Work with developers and machine learning engineers to implement analytical models into production.
  • Problem-Solving: Guide team members through problem definitions and project development, using past experiences and practical problem-solving techniques.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, BIT, BBIT, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience in data science or a similar role.
    • Familiarity with business intelligence, data warehousing, and cross-industry domains such as finance, insurance, sports, or healthcare is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python programming for data wrangling, model development, and data visualization.
    • Experience in data wrangling and data exploration to extract valuable insights.
    • Proficiency in using data visualization tools and techniques to explore and present data.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to guide teams in solving complex data issues and delivering actionable solutions.
