micro1 is seeking a Japanese Language Expert – AI Tutor to assist in advancing AI technologies through language-specific data labeling and content creation. This remote contract position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with deep knowledge of the Japanese language to contribute to cutting-edge AI projects. In this role, you will work primarily in the Japanese language to provide top-quality labeled data, helping improve the performance of generative AI models. The position will last up to 6 months, with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Labeling and Annotation: Utilize proprietary software to label data, focusing on Japanese language content to aid the improvement of AI models.
  • Enhancing AI Models: Provide accurately annotated and curated data that emphasizes Japanese language nuances, ensuring the AI receives high-quality inputs.
  • Tool Development: Collaborate on designing and refining annotation tools to improve Japanese-specific data handling and increase efficiency.
  • Content Creation and Analysis: Participate in writing and content generation projects, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our generative AI models.
  • Research & Analysis: Leverage strong research skills to source diverse Japanese language materials, ensuring that data inputs represent a wide range of contexts and settings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Native Proficiency in Japanese: Strong command of the Japanese language (both spoken and written), particularly in professional and informal contexts.
  • Excellent Japanese Language Skills: High-level proficiency in reading comprehension, with the ability to analyze complex texts in Japanese.
  • Cultural Competence: Understanding of Japanese culture and language-specific nuances to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of labeled data.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills with a sharp attention to detail.
