The ideal candidate will have completed the English Bar Training Course (BTPC/BPC) and possess strong legal knowledge along with excellent organizational and administrative skills. As a key member of our legal team, you will assist in delivering outstanding legal services while gaining the chance to develop your career further, potentially training to become a fully qualified lawyer in England & Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research using databases, statutes, and case law to support ongoing legal matters.
- Document Preparation: Draft and review various legal documents, such as pleadings, contracts, agreements, and correspondence for accuracy and compliance.
- Case Management: Assist in organizing case files, ensuring proper document management, and adhering to legal deadlines.
- Court Procedures: Support the legal team in filing legal documents with the court and attending hearings when necessary.
- Evidence Gathering: Collect and index relevant documents and evidence for use in legal proceedings, ensuring all materials are well-organized.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel to provide updates, answer questions, and relay relevant legal information.
- Administrative Support: Manage schedules, coordinate appointments, and oversee correspondence for the legal team.
- Continuous Learning: Keep up to date with changes in English law and continuously improve legal knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, participate in team meetings, and document legal processes effectively.
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements:
- Completed the English Bar Training Course (BPC/BPTC/BVC).
- Strong academic background in law.
- Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency with legal research tools and software.
- Exceptional written and spoken English.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Desirable Attributes:
- Attention to detail and a strong understanding of legal procedures.
