As a leader in regulatory reporting services for the financial services industry, Cybernetic Controls combines regulatory expertise with advanced technology to deliver innovative solutions. The Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions, focusing on AWS technologies, and enabling the company to maintain secure, efficient, and scalable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Solution Development: Collaborate with the software development team to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions, specifically leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Infrastructure Management: Design and document strategies for cloud application deployment and infrastructure maintenance, ensuring high standards of quality and scalability.
  • Team Mentorship & Guidance: Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to development teams, enhancing their cloud capabilities and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Technology Stack Support: Assist in implementing and supporting the technology stacks across engineering projects, focusing on continuous integration and delivery practices.
  • System Optimization: Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability by optimizing cloud infrastructure and ensuring the highest data security standards for client assets.
  • Full SDLC Participation: Engage in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from planning and development to testing and quality assurance, while ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
  • Data Security: Prioritize security to protect sensitive client information and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration with Product Teams: Work with product teams to ensure that cloud-based solutions align with the company’s goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Extensive experience with cloud-based technologies, particularly with AWS platforms and DevOps processes.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in AWS solutions architecture, development lifecycle best practices, and systems architecture.
    • Advanced programming skills in Python and Shell scripting for automating cloud workflows.
    • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and Code Commit for version control.
    • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and CDK.
    • Experience with containers and cluster managers like Docker.
    • Knowledge of Big Data, Machine Learning, and Advanced Analytics.
    • Strong grasp of Agile principles and processes for cloud project management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think strategically while managing both technical and user-facing requirements.
