As a Cloud Engineer at Cloudlit, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the infrastructure and deployment processes of software products. You will work closely with development and IT operations teams, ensuring the reliable and scalable delivery of software through continuous integration and deployment, automation, and cloud resource management.

Your primary responsibility will involve streamlining software deployments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and enhancing system performance and availability, while leveraging cloud services like AWS, GCP, and Azure. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with automation and containerization technologies, contributing to a culture of efficiency and high performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
    • Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable and efficient software delivery.
    • Optimize software release processes to ensure rapid delivery with minimal errors or downtime.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    • Automate and manage infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
    • Ensure that infrastructure is scalable, version-controlled, and can be easily replicated.
  • Cloud Services
    • Provision, configure, and optimize cloud resources on public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) based on application needs.
    • Ensure that cloud environments are resilient and cost-efficient.
  • Monitoring and Logging
    • Implement and manage monitoring and logging systems to ensure proactive problem-solving and enhanced system availability.
    • Track application performance to ensure seamless operation and minimal interruptions.
  • Security Implementation
    • Work with the security team to enforce best practices for application and infrastructure security.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards for security and infrastructure protection.
  • Release Management
    • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to schedule and execute releases while minimizing downtime and avoiding system disruptions.
  • Containerization
    • Manage and maintain Docker containers for application portability.
    • Oversee Kubernetes orchestration for efficient scaling and container management.
  • Scripting and Automation
    • Develop, deploy, and maintain automation scripts to streamline infrastructure tasks and improve operational workflows.
  • Troubleshooting
    • Quickly diagnose and resolve system issues to ensure minimal service disruption and optimize application uptime.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
  • Cloud Platforms: Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Networking & Load Balancing: Strong understanding of networking concepts and load balancing techniques for cloud-based architectures.
  • IaC & Automation: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and experience in automating cloud infrastructure.
  • Containerization: Proficiency with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to quickly diagnose and fix system performance or infrastructure issues.
  • Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating operations.
  • Security Practices: Understanding of cloud security, vulnerability assessments, and compliance standards.
