ZAPTA Technologies is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our software delivery pipeline, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems. You will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices and maintain a seamless workflow between software development, deployment, and production environments. Key Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Automation and Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain robust automation tools and infrastructure to streamline software development, testing, and deployment processes.
- CI/CD Pipeline: Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure smooth, efficient, and automated software deployment.
- System Monitoring & Performance: Continuously monitor system health, optimize performance, and ensure high availability and reliability for all production applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure a seamless integration of development and deployment processes, and enforce adherence to DevOps best practices.
- Code Quality & Security: Collaborate with developers to maintain high-quality code, implement best security practices, and ensure all systems comply with the organization’s coding standards.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to deployment, infrastructure, and production environments to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, such as system diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks for efficient management of DevOps activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role with demonstrated expertise in automation and deployment processes.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development practices and methodologies (including agile).
- Experience with key DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its associated tools for cloud deployment and management.
- Experience using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and creatively solve complex technical problems.
- Self-Sufficiency: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: DevOps Engineer certifications, particularly AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent.
- Cloud Expertise: Additional expertise in Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Rackspace is highly preferred.
- Database Experience: Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redshift.
- DevOps Best Practices: Experience in enforcing DevOps standards in a production-grade environment.
