PureLogics is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with Email Deliverability Expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our email infrastructure to ensure maximum reliability, security, scalability, and efficiency. Your work will focus on building and managing email systems, troubleshooting deliverability issues, and implementing the necessary protocols to guarantee that our clients’ emails land in inboxes, not spam folders.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will take charge of both DevOps processes and email deliverability management:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure for email systems to support growing demands.
- Email Deliverability Expertise:
- Configure and optimize DKIM, SPF, DMARC, and other email authentication protocols to ensure optimal email deliverability for clients.
- Automation & Monitoring:
- Build CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning, ensuring continuous improvement in the system’s reliability.
- Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify, resolve issues, and maintain uptime.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the development team to seamlessly integrate email tools like Postfix, OpenDKIM, and other MTA tools into the product suite.
- Performance Optimization:
- Analyze email bounce rates, delivery logs, and DMARC reports to identify and resolve issues impacting inbox placement.
- Incident Management:
- Troubleshoot and resolve email delivery issues and any infrastructure outages to ensure minimal downtime and an excellent client experience.
- Scalability Solutions:
- Implement load balancing, storage optimization, and scalable architectures to accommodate the growing email system demands.
Required Skills:
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on email infrastructure.
- Proficiency with tools like Postfix, OpenDKIM, Dovecot, and other MTA/MDA solutions.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and industry best practices to optimize email deliverability.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Digital Ocean).
- Proficient in automation frameworks and monitoring tools to proactively resolve issues.
- Experience with GitHub for version control.
Soft Skills:
- Problem-solving mindset, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with email marketing platforms or SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL database management.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
