Haier Pakistan is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join our team. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining electrical equipment, performing PLC and HMI modifications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of all electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment and the ability to manage preventive maintenance schedules, control breakdowns, and ensure compliance with ISO and QMS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Troubleshooting:
Manage the troubleshooting and maintenance of all electrical equipment in the facility, including PLC, HMI systems, and servo drives. - PLC and HMI Troubleshooting and Modification:
Identify issues and carry out modifications to PLC and HMI systems to improve functionality and operational efficiency. - Backup Programs:
Keep backup programs of all PLCs, HMIs, and servo drives to ensure smooth recovery in case of any system failures. - Co-ordination with Production:
Collaborate with the production department for daily equipment maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal downtime and optimum production efficiency. - Preventive Maintenance Planning:
Prepare and manage weekly and monthly preventive maintenance schedules to avoid equipment breakdowns and ensure continuous operation. - Training Needs Identification:
Identify and report the need for training to upgrade the maintenance staff’s skills and capabilities. - Breakdown Management:
Take responsibility for identifying and minimizing equipment breakdowns, ensuring rapid repairs and minimizing impact on production. - ISO & QMS Compliance:
Ensure compliance with ISO standards and QMS audits. Prepare necessary documentation and reports for audits. - Additional Duties:
Perform any other departmental duties assigned by the Maintenance Head or immediate supervisor. - Reporting:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager regarding issues, progress, and updates.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc Electrical).
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with expertise in troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI systems, and servo drives.
- Good understanding of ISO and QMS audits and documentation processes.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and team collaboration skills.
