Responsibilities

As the Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Test Execution & Reporting:
    • Execute existing automated test cases, analyze test results, and report defects to maintain software quality standards.
  • Automation & Framework Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing of healthcare software applications.
  • Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the technical implementation team to understand healthcare provider requirements, clinical workflows, and regulatory considerations.
  • Post-Deployment Verification:
    • Conduct post-configuration and deployment verification and validation to ensure successful implementation and resolve issues reported by healthcare providers or patients.
  • Ad-Hoc Testing:
    • Perform ad-hoc testing on urgent customer-reported issues to identify root causes and mitigate impact on healthcare operations.
  • Workflow Documentation:
    • Document and maintain a deep understanding of healthcare provider workflows and clinical use cases to anticipate quality concerns.
  • Enhancement Recommendations:
    • Identify opportunities to improve software usability, clinical decision-making, and patient engagement based on customer feedback.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work with QA team members to identify automation requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria that should be automated.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong practical experience with Cypress/Selenium frameworks for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
  • Proficiency in relational database query concepts.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into application functionality.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred, with the ability to address urgent software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying software quality issues.
