Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Support HR-Related Inquiries:
- Assist employees and management with internal and external HR-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses.
- Record Management:
- Maintain digital and electronic records for employees, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Recruitment Support:
- Assist in the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
- Compensation & Benefits Documentation:
- Oversee the completion of compensation and benefits documentation for new hires and existing staff members.
- Performance Management Support:
- Assist with performance management procedures, ensuring all documentation is properly handled.
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Schedule interviews, meetings, and HR events, maintaining agendas and ensuring proper organization of these activities.
- Employee Onboarding:
- Perform orientations for new staff members and ensure their records are accurately updated.
- HR Reporting:
- Produce and submit reports on various HR activities and initiatives, providing regular updates on key metrics.
- Payroll Processing:
- Assist with the payroll process, including resolving any payroll discrepancies or issues.
- Exit Procedures:
- Handle termination paperwork and exit interviews for departing employees.
- Staying Updated:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices to ensure the department remains efficient and effective.
Qualifications
The ideal Human Resources Assistant should meet the following requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in administration, recruiting, or HR operations.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good understanding of HR policies and practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong knowledge of Excel and Word.
