Key Responsibilities
As a Back End Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work:
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to execute the product and business strategies.
- Build world-class products and features that engage users while providing a seamless experience.
- Full Development Lifecycle:
- Contribute throughout the development cycle: from technical design, development, and testing to experimentation, analysis, and product launch.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring the quality of work before deployment.
- Code Reviews & Continuous Improvement:
- Review pull requests to maintain consistency and quality across the codebase.
- Actively contribute to and write high-quality code that drives the user experience.
- Achieving High-Quality Product Velocity:
- Ensure the product development pace maintains high quality while meeting business and customer goals.
- Implement product features such as dynamic pricing, recurring orders, and a seamless order flow, facilitating success for both customers and partners.
- Timely and Consistent Communication:
- Establish a clear and consistent communication channel with company leadership, instilling confidence in code quality and team output.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and ensure alignment with technical projects.
- Innovation:
- Drive innovation in both back-end architecture and tooling.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and apply modern practices to improve the backend infrastructure.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of active coding experience with demonstrated impact on large-scale backend services and workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript and expertise in multiple back-end languages and frameworks.
- Skills and Technologies:
- In-depth experience with DevOps technologies, containerization, microservices, and message brokers.
- Proficient in cloud platforms, implementing metrics, and monitoring cloud services to ensure the optimal performance of deployed applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Self-Starter:
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a high-velocity, async remote environment.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit:
