SKUPREME is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Backend Developer specializing in Node.js to join our growing team. As a Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions for web applications. If you have a deep understanding of backend architecture and are passionate about creating high-performance APIs and systems, we would love to have you on board. Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS and Firebase, is a bonus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Server-Side Development: Build, test, and maintain server-side components and APIs using Node.js.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend solutions with user-facing interfaces.
  • Database Optimization: Design and optimize databases for both performance and scalability, ensuring the ability to handle large amounts of data efficiently.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services and external APIs.
  • System Performance: Ensure the backend systems are high-performing, scalable, and responsive to user requests.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues as they arise to ensure the backend system’s stability and uptime.
  • Best Practices: Implement best practices regarding code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.

Essential Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.
  • API Design: Strong proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Programming Expertise: Good understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git for version control and CI/CD workflows.

Helpful Skills

  • AWS Services: Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and related deployment workflows.
  • Firebase: Knowledge of Firebase tools, including Firestore and Firebase Functions.
  • Serverless Computing: Experience working with AWS Lambda for serverless applications.
  • Microservices: Exposure to microservices architecture and building scalable services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven success in building and deploying scalable backend solutions in production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a keen eye for detail when dealing with complex systems.
