NexaQuanta is looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer with expertise in Laravel and Yii 1.1 to join our dynamic team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of PHP (across versions 5.3 to 8.3) and will play a critical role in modernizing legacy codebases, deconstructing monolithic applications into microservices, and managing large datasets. Key Responsibilities:
- Legacy Code Modernization: Update and modernize legacy PHP codebases, ensuring improved performance and scalability.
- Deconstruct Monolithic Applications: Break down large monolithic applications into separate, manageable services to improve flexibility and maintainability.
- Handle Large Datasets: Work with large databases (tables with 500 million to 1 billion rows), ensuring efficient data management and retrieval.
- PHP Development: Develop and maintain high-quality applications using Yii 1.1 (CitNOW Video core framework) and Laravel.
- Database Optimization: Write optimized MySQL queries to improve performance and optimize database structures.
- Cloud Integration: Leverage AWS core services to enhance application performance, security, and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and performance of solutions.
- Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical issues and find innovative, efficient solutions.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Yii 1.1 (preferably with the CitNOW Video core framework).
- 4+ years of experience with PHP, specifically working with versions 5.3 to 8.3.
- Strong experience with modernizing legacy codebases, refactoring for performance and maintainability.
- Extensive experience with MySQL, including writing performant and optimized database queries.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS, specifically core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Additional Skills:
- Experience working with large datasets (tables with 500 million to 1 billion rows).
- Experience in transitioning from monolithic applications to microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex, high-performance applications.
