As a senior developer, you will play a key role in shaping the development and optimization of our client’s Shopify stores to deliver exceptional online shopping experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Custom Development

Design and develop custom Shopify themes and modify existing themes to meet business requirements.
Create unique, scalable e-commerce solutions and features tailored to customer needs.
Implement changes and improve functionality across Shopify stores.

E-commerce Solutions

Develop advanced custom Shopify apps that enhance store functionality and improve the user experience.
Work with various Shopify integrations to expand the platform’s capabilities and ensure a seamless experience.

Performance Optimization

Analyze website performance and implement best practices for site speed and optimization.
Ensure smooth navigation, responsiveness, and cross-device compatibility for all store pages.

Technical Leadership

Mentor and guide junior developers, helping them grow in their technical skills and promoting a culture of learning.
Lead complex projects, setting technical direction and ensuring the highest quality of work.

Collaboration and Quality Assurance

Collaborate with design and marketing teams to translate business and visual requirements into functional online experiences.
Perform thorough testing to ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Shopify themes, apps, or integrations.

Continuous Learning

Stay updated with the latest Shopify trends, new features, and emerging e-commerce best practices.
Continuously improve processes and suggest innovative solutions to enhance user experience and optimize functionality.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

At least 5 years of professional experience in Shopify development, with a strong portfolio of custom themes and applications.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), and Liquid programming language for Shopify.
Strong understanding of Shopify admin, APIs, integrations, and advanced e-commerce solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing innovative and effective solutions.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies to effectively meet deadlines.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Soft Skills

Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain technical ideas to both technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration skills for working with design, marketing, and development teams.
