Video Editor

TopSpot is seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into polished, high-quality projects that are suitable for broadcasting and social media platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about video editing and storytelling, with the chance to work on engaging content for YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, and more.

Responsibilities

As a Video Editor at TopSpot, your main responsibilities will include:

• Editing and assembling video footage according to project requirements.
• Posting videos on social media platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, and TikTok.
• Optimizing video content for better ranking on platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, and Google.
• Trimming and arranging footage to create seamless video sequences.
• Adding music, dialogues, graphics, and special effects to enhance video content.
• Creating both rough cuts and final edits, ensuring the story flows cohesively.
• Ensuring smooth transitions, continuity, and logical sequencing in the final product.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest editing technologies and industry best practices.
• Managing client data and coordinating with other departments to ensure all video-related tasks are completed on time.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:

• Strong English writing and listening skills are essential for clear communication.
• Proven work experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing your editing abilities.
• A good understanding of social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Solid experience with video editing software, including:
  • Camtasia
  • Filmora
  • Avid Media Composer
  • Lightworks
  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Final Cut Pro
• In-depth knowledge of video editing techniques such as timing, continuity, and motivation.
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing is a plus.
• A creative mind with excellent storytelling skills and attention to detail.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Film Studies, Cinematography, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in video editing.
