We are partnering with an innovative AI-driven startup, headquartered in Canada, actively seeking a Lead Actuary. This role focuses on leveraging AI and Machine Learning technologies to provide transformative value to Life & Health Insurance clients across Asia. Responsibilities
- Actuarial Leadership:
Develop and oversee actuarial models aligned with business requirements and strategic goals. - Collaboration & Coordination:
Work with data science teams to define actionable tasks based on business objectives, review outcomes, and ensure alignment with client expectations. Collaborate with international business teams for operational efficiency. - Client Engagement:
Represent the company in client-facing roles, including leading workshops, pitching innovative actuarial solutions, and tailoring services to meet client needs. - Strategic Contributions:
Shape the company’s growth strategy, especially in the areas of model validation and expanding market presence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience, with a focus on Life & Health Insurance.
- Fellowship or completion of actuarial examinations preferred.
- Proven experience with Machine Learning techniques and practical applications in R or Python within an actuarial context is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical insights effectively to diverse audiences.
- Business proficiency in Mandarin is a plus, but not mandatory.
