We are seeking a Server & Hosting Specialist to manage and optimize our hosting servers, domains, and web environments. This role requires a passionate individual with at least 2 years of experience in server management, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth hosting infrastructure operations. Key Responsibilities:
As a Server & Hosting Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of server infrastructure and hosting environments:
- Server Infrastructure Management: Administer VPS and hosting platforms such as GoDaddy, DreamHost, and other server services.
- Domain & DNS Configurations: Manage domain registrations and ensure the proper configuration of DNS settings to ensure continuous availability of websites.
- CPanel and Webmin Management: Oversee and maintain hosting control panels like CPanel and Webmin to ensure seamless website operations.
- System Security and Reliability: Implement security protocols and monitor server environments to ensure integrity and secure hosting.
- Backups: Establish backup procedures to protect critical data and ensure reliability in case of system failure.
- Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Quickly diagnose and address server issues, ensuring continuous performance improvements for all hosted environments.
- Collaboration: Work with other technical teams to ensure the smooth integration and function of hosted applications and services.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience managing servers, hosting platforms, and associated technical environments.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with hosting platforms (GoDaddy, DreamHost, etc.).
- Proficient with CPanel, Webmin, DNS management, and server security protocols.
- Experience with VPS (Virtual Private Servers), hosting environments, and performance optimization techniques.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot server issues and implement fixes efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security frameworks and protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of hosting environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple servers and domains with attention to detail and careful planning.
