Transsion is looking for a Market Research Manager to lead and oversee user and market research efforts, ensuring data-driven decision-making for our mobile internet business. In this role, you will be at the forefront of analyzing user needs and product performance, guiding business strategies with actionable insights that are integrated into product development. Your research will shape both strategic and tactical decisions across the company, helping to fuel business growth through better user understanding.


Key Responsibilities

  • Market Intelligence & Data Analysis:
    Conduct thorough research to understand market trends, competitors, and user preferences in mobile internet products like mobile gaming, social media, content, and tools. Provide actionable insights to improve market positioning and growth opportunities.
  • Research Methodology:
    Lead end-to-end user research projects including U&A, UX studies, NPS, and product lifecycle management activities. Use both quantitative and qualitative data to support product and business decisions across multiple teams.
  • User-Centric Strategy:
    Synthesize user data and feedback to deliver impactful, actionable recommendations. Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives tailored to user needs and preferences.
  • Product & Experience Benchmarking:
    Establish benchmarks for product communications, launches, and solutions by analyzing market dynamics, competitor actions, and user sentiments.
  • Collaboration & Agency Management:
    Manage external agencies across multiple South Asian markets, including Pakistan and Bangladesh. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, ensuring research data is presented in a compelling and understandable way to guide future decisions.
  • Report Development & Strategic Support:
    Develop frameworks for product testing, UX analysis, and marketing communications. Lead regional reporting efforts to democratize insights within the organization, improving the overall understanding of user needs and pain points.
  • Metrics & System Optimization:
    Build and accelerate NPS maturity in collaboration with business teams. Recommend marketing targets based on historical data to ensure improved return on digital media investments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of experience in Market Research, User Research, Digital Experience, Data Analysis, or Project Management.
    • 4+ years of experience with mobile internet products, such as mobile gaming, social media, tools, etc.
    • 3+ years in working with a market research/data analytics agency (e.g. Kantar, Ipsos, Nielsen).
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, with the ability to connect insights to business outcomes.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills.
    • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
    • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and analytics software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, Adobe Analytics).
    • Familiarity with customer experience platforms such as Qualtrics, Medallia, SurveyMonkey, or similar tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced statistical methods and data mining.
  • Proficiency in interpreting complex data and presenting insights in clear, accessible formats.
  • Experience in building insights capabilities in mobile internet sectors like mobile gaming, content, and tools.
