micro1 is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant with a strong background in social engineering and cybersecurity strategies. As part of our remote team, you will engage in testing and evaluating AI systems, identify vulnerabilities, and develop proactive cybersecurity measures to safeguard our clients’ information systems. Key Responsibilities
- Social Engineering & Cybersecurity Testing
- Develop and design test prompts to evaluate AI boundaries, security frameworks, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough social engineering tests to identify weaknesses in the human interaction with cybersecurity systems.
- Carry out penetration testing to evaluate AI systems for vulnerabilities and report results effectively.
- Vulnerability Analysis & Mitigation
- Analyze test results, identifying expected and unexpected outcomes, and develop appropriate responses to rectify any security gaps.
- Provide actionable insights for improving cybersecurity protocols based on findings.
- Recommend technical solutions to mitigate risks identified through testing.
- Collaboration & Strategy Development
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve cybersecurity strategies and implement recommended fixes.
- Engage with stakeholders to discuss findings and provide clear, well-documented reports detailing test results and subsequent actions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends, integrating innovative practices into your security assessments.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Document cybersecurity tests, detailing methodologies and outcomes to ensure comprehensive tracking of identified vulnerabilities.
- Provide clear, concise, and organized communication to stakeholders regarding any potential cybersecurity issues, highlighting risks and suggesting measures for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, specifically social engineering testing and vulnerability analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail when investigating vulnerabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clear, precise reporting and presentations.
- Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with cybersecurity tools and technologies, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of cyber threats and system vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of current cybersecurity trends, threats, and attack methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI systems, particularly large language models used for cybersecurity purposes.
- Prior experience in remote roles, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or equivalent.
