Monitor Health is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist – FDA Compliance and Audit to oversee the security of its medical monitoring portal. This portal handles patient data for remote health monitoring and telemedicine services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding medical data, conducting risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA), and integrating security measures into the portal’s design. This role is pivotal in maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and security for the company’s healthcare services. Key Responsibilities

1. Security Strategy & Implementation:

  • Develop and maintain the security framework for the medical monitoring portal.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are embedded during the portal’s design and development.
  • Ensure encryption, storage, and transmission of medical data follow best security practices and regulatory standards.

2. Risk Assessment & Vulnerability Management:

  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify risks.
  • Monitor systems in real-time for potential security threats, including intrusion detection and prevention.
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions.

3. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for security processes and audits, making it available for internal and external reviews.
  • Implement and monitor access controls to ensure authorized personnel only access sensitive medical data.

4. Security Monitoring & Incident Response:

  • Utilize intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and other tools to maintain the portal’s security.
  • Lead investigations and coordinate responses to security incidents.
  • Develop and maintain an incident response plan for medical data breaches and security incidents.

Key Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in the healthcare or medical device industry.
  • Proven expertise in securing web applications and managing data in a cloud environment.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA), cybersecurity frameworks, and encryption methods.

Skills:

  • Expertise in security risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response protocols.
  • Familiarity with medical data security, compliance audits, and managing regulatory adherence.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
