Key Responsibilities

As the Business Unit Manager, you will have a variety of key responsibilities, including:

  • Strategic Planning & Business Development: Set long-term goals for your business unit, develop actionable strategies for achieving growth, and conduct market analysis to stay ahead of competitors.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage unit budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation. Analyze financial performance to drive data-based decision-making.
  • Performance Management: Set unit-specific objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and closely monitor performance. Adjust strategies as needed to achieve optimal results.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership and foster teamwork within your unit. Offer guidance, mentoring, and resolve conflicts as necessary to maintain a positive, high-performance culture.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure the achievement of organizational goals. Promote synergy between business functions.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, increase productivity, and innovate processes within your unit.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that the unit adheres to company policies, industry regulations, and local laws, minimizing risks and ensuring compliance.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, emerging trends, and competitor activities, ensuring your unit remains competitive within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Communication & Reporting: Regularly communicate unit progress, strategies, and objectives to senior stakeholders and other relevant parties. Provide clear updates on performance and achievements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Educational Background: Pharm-D, Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in a managerial role within the pharmaceutical sector.
