We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team at Beaconhouse School, Lahore. As a Chef at our institution, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious, and balanced meals for students and staff. You will also play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and ensuring that all meals meet the high standards set by the school.
This position requires a passion for cooking, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional culinary experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Meal Preparation:
Prepare daily meals for students and staff, ensuring the food is nutritious, safe, and meets school standards. - Menu Planning:
Collaborate with the school’s administration to create seasonal and balanced menus that cater to the preferences and dietary needs of students. - Food Presentation:
Ensure meals are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner, taking into consideration portion sizes and garnishing. - Kitchen Hygiene and Safety:
Follow strict food hygiene and safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Regularly sanitize cooking tools, appliances, and dining spaces. - Inventory Management:
Manage kitchen supplies, ensuring that ingredients are fresh and properly stocked. Keep track of orders and stock rotation to minimize waste. - Staff Supervision (if applicable):
Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training junior chefs or kitchen assistants when required. - Customer Interaction:
Engage with students and staff to address food preferences, allergies, and any special dietary restrictions. - Adherence to Standards:
Ensure meals are prepared following established guidelines for dietary health, nutritional needs, and food preferences. - Special Event Catering:
Prepare meals for school events, parties, and other gatherings as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Chef, preferably in an educational institution, hotel, or large-scale catering setting. - Culinary Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, safety standards, and hygiene protocols. - Education:
A culinary degree or certificate from a recognized institution is a plus but not mandatory.

Strong organizational and time management skills to prepare meals within tight schedules. - Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and school personnel. - Creativity:
Ability to develop creative and diverse meal plans that are well-received by students and staff. - Attention to Detail:
Ensure the highest standards in cleanliness, food quality, and safety. - Excellent Communication Skills:
Able to communicate effectively with school staff, students, and other members of the kitchen team.
